The quote in the book reads: “Nature has always been my main inspiration, and having the opportunity to design a pin featuring the carved, bi-color tourmaline was an instinctive process.  Using one of the many heuchera (coral bells) plants in my garden as a starting point, I could visualize the finished design, and then I just had to figure out how to build it.”
